Hi, I’m Piper Crabtree.

I was born and raised on Oʻahu and later moved to California to attend the University of California, Berkeley, where I studied Film & Media Studies. My degree focused on understanding how stories, ideas, and emotions are communicated through visual media—exploring not just filmmaking itself, but the deeper theory behind how content influences perception, connection, and audience engagement.

My passion for visual storytelling started early. At 14, I began shooting photos and videos at hunter jumper competitions across the country, from Hawaii to California to Florida. That’s where I first realized how much I loved capturing powerful moments and turning them into something meaningful. From there, I expanded into shooting big wave surfing and professional surfers, always pushing myself to capture anything and everything. I never wanted to limit what I could create—I was more interested in learning how to make any subject feel compelling and draw people in.

As social media began to grow, I started sharing my work more publicly and quickly saw strong engagement. That momentum showed me that content creation could become something more, which led me to deepen my understanding through my studies at Berkeley.

During college, I found a deeper passion for storytelling through film—taking real experiences, emotions, and ideas from my own life and translating them into short-form narratives. That’s where I developed my creative voice, while also learning how to stay organized, focused, and intentional in my work.

After graduating, I moved full-time to Telluride, Colorado, where I worked with Telluride Wranglers. That experience strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and capacity to manage high-responsibility, client-facing environments. At the same time, I continued evolving my content creation—shifting more into short-form video and learning how to apply my storytelling background to platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Over the past few years, I’ve grown a combined audience of over 100K+ across platforms, generating 4.5M+ likes on TikTok and building an engaged Instagram following through self-produced content. I’ve focused heavily on understanding platform algorithms, audience behavior, and how to create content that not only captures attention, but keeps people coming back.

More recently, I’ve centered a lot of my content around a sport I am a part of called skijoring and my outdoor lifestyle, combining action, storytelling, and community-driven experiences. It’s been an incredible process learning how to create content that feels both exciting and meaningful, while continuing to grow alongside my audience.

At the core of everything I do is a passion for storytelling, creativity, and connection. I’m drawn to outdoor experiences, travel, and community. I’m always looking for new ways to capture those moments and turn them into content that resonates.
